Jeff, another winning post! I like to recommend that associations embed a ShareThis or AddThis tool bar to make it easy to bookmark on various sites. These are free tools available at http://www.addthis.com or http://www.sharethis.com

I’ve noticed over the past month or two that some associations are sending out e-zines with news articles that include four icons after each post. These are quick links so that a reader can email to a friend, post to twitter, LinkedIn or FaceBook. I think that’s just plain smart, especially the email option.

SEO for event websites is evolving quickly. Here’s a link to an article I wrote late last year on SEO that may be helpful for event organizers. http://tinyurl.com/rxldu5

  5. The good aspect of social bookmarking is that it can grow your chances of being well ranked by the search engines, also, bookmarking will help a non-indexed page become indexed rapidly. Bookmarking your website must not be a difficult work; using a good automatic social bookmarking software you can grow the traffic to your business and generate backlinks easily and rapidly.
